I feel like they'd rather ignore the problem or create speed server which will take 10x the resources than do a bare minimum promotion which the server deserves.

I don't think player decline has much to do with gameplay, it's rather normal course of server getting old mixed with lack of good promotion. I think it could have much higher player count without changing anything gameplay-wise.

If you think it get's any better on higher levels in regards to upgrading, grinding and then failing you are in for a surprise. That seems to be nature of the server, it could still be much more popular than it is in it's current state, given better promoting.

That's why tiktok shouldn't be the only medium to attract players, delegating promoting entirely to promoters paid with DC is not optimal way to go about this anyways, it's just the easiest in theory. Buying ads on forums, discords, and facebooks is something administration should be responsible...

I think the point about lack of good promotion is true. There are so many avenues to leverage outside of tiktok which seems to be the main one right now. Summer is coming, so compared to winter the playercount will always go down, but this server could EASILY be at around 3-3.5k active at peak...
