We would like to address some of the concerns raised by the community regarding recent events. We understand that there has been some confusion and frustration, so we will take this opportunity to clarify our position.
Recent player punishments.
Some players violated our rules by exploiting a bug with the beta bosses, leading to their initial 30-day ban. This temporary ban allowed our GM team to conduct a thorough investigation, ensuring all related accounts were identified. While some may perceive this as favoritism due to the temporary ban, we want to emphasize that it was a strategic decision to prevent compromising the investigation.
In the interest of fairness, all accounts that have broken the same rule in the past received permanent bans, and the same will apply in this case. The accounts in question, will be permanently banned.
To maintain a fair and impartial approach to in-game punishments, we've decided that this instance will be the last time we discuss an in-game punishment with the community. We believe in open communication but want to avoid inadvertently promoting such behavior. Moving forward, all punishments handled by the GMs and SGMs will be based on severity and adhere strictly to our Terms of Service.
Recent RMT bans.
These bans are not connected to the previously mentioned ban incident. They were a result of finding a notorious yang seller, leading to the banning of buyers dating back to his first sale. Every RMT ban involves context and an in-depth verification of the player's actions by the GM team. No player will be punished for allegedly lending items to a friend or helping a new player to the extent of common sense. If necessary, the team will ask for an explanation about some trades flagged as suspicious. However, in order for us to continue locating and singling out these malefactors, the players will not be presented with information about how the GM team found out about the RMT. Providing extended information about each trade would weaken our system, as it could be exploited by players looking to abuse this action.

Be aware that spreading conspiracy theories or distributing personal information without the consent of the other party in our social channels may be punished with temporary or permanent removal from said channels. For the sake of accountability, we may require you in the future to identify yourself as a WoM2 player in order to gain full access to those.
