This morning at 6 AM CET as we opened the Itemshop the Exorcism Scroll had been placed by mistake, which we removed around 10 AM when the error was noticed.
During this time a few hundred of those were sold, spread among dozens of players, many of which, in turn, sold them in shops to other players.
In view of the fact that there are 12.000 players daily, each one of them having at least one M skill, and that Exorcism Scrolls drop ingame daily in amounts higher than the number of them sold during this time window, we decided the best course of action was to let it slide as there is no damage. Individuals claiming they sell hundreds are spreading false information as no player has purchased more than 30 which were later spread to others.
Placing them in the Itemshop is not an option, as it goes around our intention of - inasmuch as that is possible without jeopardizing the sustainability of the server - minimizing the amount of character progress that can be simply "bought", and in the end would harm the longevity of the server, as we know from the past example of WoM3.
We apologize for this mishap, which we attribute to the unexpected amount of players creating a huge spike of work load for the team, and will strive to avoid these in the future.
