(Ghetto) Beginner's Guide to WoM2

This "guide" is directed mainly towards the orphanage im running on the server, so i don't have to repeat the same advice 10 times. Since the official guides are not there yet this will have to do.

Account Creation:
Make sure you use reflink code Stfor to get some very nice free stuff for start

Choose game's difficulty:
  1. Jinno - Never played game before, complete noob, difficulty with reading and writing
  2. Shinshoo - Mental clinic patient, prone to overdose on m1 flowers, psychopathic tendencies
  3. Chunjo - Gigachad professional, metin2 veteran degenerate, hasn't seen sun in 2 weeks.
Main Character creation:
  • Sura Weapon - If you've never left the confines of your home, had overprotective mother and were too afraid to ask a girl out for a date, this is the character for you. (You will be able to farm and not die with relatively average items)
  • Warrior Aura - If you like BDSM, getting dominated and beaten, enjoy watching gray screen in LoL, and have fast fingers to click respawn button, choose this. (You farm quicker, but have to sit in a lab and count resists to avoid dying)
  • Shaman Healer - If you were always compared to your smarter and wiser siblings, struggled to feel included and felt shame at family meetings, the choice is clear. (You farm slower than warrior and have less survivability than sura)
  • Polymorph Ninja - Stay away from me.
  • Make yourself a Buffer while you're at it, u will need it.

Phase 1 LvL 0-30:
So after 10 years of having done nothing with your life you decided to experience the glory of this trash game from 2004 once again. Congratulations. Hopefully u decide that it's not worth it after spending an hour walking around m2 with 120 movement speed. In case you don't, here is what you do.
  • Map1 0-15. Do the hunt missions, they give xp and capes. Screw the other quests, u will do them when you are lvl 96 and bored (u won't).
  • Map2 15-25. U reached lvl15, u can enter map2, congrats. Turn the music ON, it's a banger. Don't worry about stones for now, u want 30 ASAP.
  • Orcs 25-35. Either keep doing hunt missions, and get lvl30 relatively quickly, or beg for level up at Black Orcs for 4 hours.

Phase 2 LvL 30:
This is your first stop. You are now a professional fisherman whether u like it or not. If you are smart enough to figure out the fishing minigame, congrats, you are now officially smarter than 95% of metin players.
You fish few hours, "open" fishes and sell clams to reach:

Checkpoint 1:
Shops - middle upper screen icon is a search function.
You might not understand people from other kingdom when buying items, buy language ring and start reading language books.
  • Armored Horse - Medals are pretty cheap, start reading them ASAP, u need lvl10 for armored horse mission
  • 30lvl weapon+9 whatever average. Good luck upgrading yourself, might be the best thing you can do because you might quit.
  • 20% "dd" earrings, bracelet - get a silver bracelet and ebony earrings with 20% drop chance increase. They don't have to be +9 yet.
  • IM Glove - 7/14/30 day Market glove, it stacks with 1h one, it's not the same thing.
  • Mix yourself whatever shoes with 10% crit, necklace 10%crit/pierce, armor 50 attack value
  • Marriage with Buffer.

Phase 3 LvL 35:
Map2 farming begins. You have armored horse and basic stuff, you have marriage with buffer, you head to map2 to farm 35 stones. Block the XP with gold doll from general store and get to work.
On this SV, stones spawn in certain area, if you figure a good one out, remember it.

35 Stones place suggestions (Jinno/Chunjo/Shinshoo
- minibosses same areas):
1702382359449.png1704982790660.jpeg
Captain spawn spots (Chunjo):
1702382391647.png

- You destoy stones and change channel, don't run around.
- If ur kingdom is crowded, try other kingdom's map2
- From 35lvl stones you get Green Changers, Chaos Fragments (collect 10 and you can spawn better stones), and Poly Marbles (notably Savage Minion).
- Don't Forget to sell the Savage Minions Poly to me, ign - Stforjanka
- You can pick up Ebony Earrings and sell them on market.
- From Captain bosses and other mini bosses (Goo-Pae, BO, Chuong etc.) you get chests. You can open them and get changers and other stuff.
- Sell the drop and buy Skill Books for both yourself and buffer. There are 3 types of books, you can read each one at the same time. You farm, sell changers (unless you're a gambler), and slowly get yourself to

Checkpoint 2:
  • Aura/Blade G1, Buffer around G1 Blessing, Enchant Damage.
  • Fms/rib 40+ avg
  • ebony+9 20dd
  • silver brace+9 20dd
  • Armor+9, 41 shield+9 (for when u lvl up), 21 shoes +9 can come handy for desert stones (archers).
  • IM gold lucky coin (increased yang drop)
  • BIOLOGY QUESTS
You can skip few of these and leave them for when you go farming desert. Just beware, don't level too quickly, this server is pretty unforgiving if you overshoot your level.

Phase 4 LvL 35-45:
So you either stay lvl35 map2 and farm some more, since your dmg is pretty good so the profit is okay, if you're bored of map2 you can move to:

Valley of Orcs:
  • Curse Books from Esoterics around the temple
  • Orc Teeth from Black Orcs
  • Boss chests from Orc Boss
  • Stones
Desert (preferable):
  • 45lvl Stones, place suggestion:
1702382512500.jpeg

- From these 45 lvl stones you drop profitable upgrade items, such as Snake Tail+, Scorpion Claw etc.
- Don't forget to kill archers before stone for extra drop.
- Make Return Scrolls and move around with them
- You can pick up trash with buffer, and sell it in general store for some extra yang. Get used to it (or not, inflation is on the rise)
- You can start reading skills to P, reading mining books, flower books (for battlepa$$), bestiary, polymorphy. You should start early because it takes long time.
- Most important dmg boost you can start considering is mount. You make mount from pet, which you have to exp and feed red alcohol.
Pet system explained: https://global.wom2.org/board/threads/video-pet-system-in-one-pill.1703/.

Phase 5 LvL 45-55:
This is a transition phase where you are not strong enough for Fireland/Ghost Forest yet, but desert/valley seems easy and you feel ready to move on. You should have all of the previous checkpoints, working on skills to, working on your pet, upgrading equipment and slowly building the character up.

You can start running your first dungeon (Naaga), guide: https://global.wom2.org/board/threads/naaga-dungeon-guide-from-start-to-finish.1161/

You will probably be farming Temple (lv 55. stones) or Sohan (50/65 stones).
Temple Spots:
1702391642615.png
- Usually overcrowded (a lot of characters that should move on stay there for some reason, not unusual to see lv60 on mount here)
- Not many good upgrade items, but better changers drop than rest of the midlevel maps.
- Sporadic Soulstone
- Pretty good chaos stones
- Good exp for pet!
- Stones almost always in the same place
- Farm this during degenerate hours, when not many people are around.

Sohan Spots (some of them):
1702392135708.png

- LvL 55 (pink) and 65 (purple) Stones
- Upgrade Items such as Unknown Medicine, Piece of Cloth
- 54 Necklaces and other jewelry you can sell on market to other players.
- Changers, Soulstones

Checkpoint 3:

  • Previous Checkpoints
  • Aura/Blade above G1, begining to work on Buffer skills to P
  • 54 Bracelet +4/6 with 20dd, hp
  • 54 Necklace, hp+crit, +6/+9 (big boost for warriors)
  • 55 boots hp+crit +6
  • Mount! 9/10 aggresion, 80+ lvl

Phase 6 LvL 55-60:
Okay you are at the end of your beginner phase journey. You haven't left the house in a month, your laundry is all over the floor beside empty pizza boxes. Your gf left you, you lost your job. You are ready to start the game.

I recommend u stay in 55-60 range for a bit, and move to 75 in one step.
If you hate your life you can keep running Naaga, but now you can do baroness too (no guide, entrance sd3, just get a lot of wind and spiders bonuses). You can also consider dropping Naaga keys from Bosses on Snakefield, their respawn is visible in Naaga Guide). Little birdie also told me that there is a way to outfarm top red forest farmers in this range, i will let you figure that one out.

Now you farm either Fireland (lv55+), or Ghost Forest (lv60+). If you are like me, and you were raised right, you will choose Fireland. This is also where concept of PvM shaman comes in handy, you can give your shaman a good bell and armor, and use him to help you farm (you use a ring at the end of stone's hp to reset his drop or turn farmer mode off on him)

This is the path i used on Fireland to farm almost all my equipment on before i moved to 75:
1702393032501.png
- 70lvl stones. (at lv55 you are -15 to the stone, supposedly the best chance of good drop). If you can't resist them then get some fire bonuses.
- Like in Bodybuilding, volume is king here. You make scrolls, you clear each ch and then move to the next spot. If the map is free and your dmg is good, there is incredible profit there. It might seem like not much drops, but 70 chaos stones are one of the best midlevel, consistent 2-3 changers/stone.
- You drop changers, chaos fragments and soulstones.
- Best choice if the map is free (which it is more often than Ghost Forest)

Some Ghost Forest spots:
1702393351022.png
- 75/80 stones
- Pretty good soulstone drop
- If both fireland and Ghost Forest are crowded, choose this.

Checkpoint 4:
  • Aura/Blade P, Blessing P, buffer with decent int value
  • Up to date Biology
  • 75 weapon +9 with decent average (gl making one yourself)
  • Equipment with earth bonus (especially if you're warrior) for red forest/helia
  • Htn+9
  • Basic alchemy:
    • Ruby avg+pierce for warrior is fine, double attack on sura, gl with prices
    • Diamond stones + crit
    • Garnet with % against monsters.

If you have any questions feel free to PM me in game.

I love how you didn't even mention building a shaman as main despite the realism of the guide 🤣 Jokes aside, it is fun and easy to read, thank you for your contribution!

Sorry but whats helia? 😭
i never was on that map but as far as i know its like a map where you can join with a ticket (which you drop from chaos metins lvl 85/90) for 1 hour and kill some metin stones if you are lucky you will be alone there if not then **** happens (guys correct me if im wrong)

Its like extension of red forest, afaik only available on this server. It has 85/90 stones with consistent spawn place, in that sense it doesn't differ from red forest much. The thing that is different is that u gotta have Corpsewhisper to enter (either drop from chaos 85/90 or buy from market, relatively cheap). It allows you to enter for 1 hour after which u have to wait 1 hour to re-enter.

Every (around) 4 hours helia stone spawns randomly on the map on each channel (they can be desynchronized, that depends on the time they were previously killed). Untill you kill the stone, no 85/90 stones will appear. After getting the stone down to 50%, forest boss appears out of it, which you have to kill to continue killing the helia stone.

The boss is quite strong at first, and you gotta have earth resists and blessing on buffer usually to withstand it. You can play around with having a lot of block, so the boss misses his attacks and you have chance to regenerate. You can also help yourself with red potions from IM and regeneration boosters from snakefield, so your HP regenerates faster after each hit.

After you kill the Boss and subsequently the helia stone, you get some relatively good drop, and the 85 and 90 stones start appearing again. You have to do it for every channel on which the heart appears.

TL: DR: Like red forest, every 4h big stone, kill stone, kill boss, normal metins again. Entrance at the end of red forest, corpsewhisper to enter.
